Senior Vice President and President, Europe, Middle East and Africa

Mike Peplow was named Senior Vice President and President of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for BancTec in 2005. Peplow is accountable for the general management of BancTec EMEA Operations, including sales, delivery and business management.

Peplow joined BancTec as Business Development Manager in June 1997. In 1999, he was promoted to Sales and Marketing Director before becoming Managing Director of the UK in September 2000. During his tenure at BancTec, Peplow was in charge of developing the BancTec UK and European organisations, including extending the company’s expertise into new areas of electronic document and content processing. His extensive experience in various management and business development responsibilities has made him a key contributor in identifying and developing new markets and opportunities across Europe.

Prior to joining BancTec, he served in a number of strategic marketing, sales and consultancy roles in the IT industry since 1981 with organisations such as ICL/Fujitsu and Hatton Blue, now London Bridge Software.

Peplow holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, graduating with honours, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The Manchester Business School.
