Scan One

Scan One opened its first production center more than 20 years ago.

Overview

Scan One opened its first production center more than 20 years ago.  The company entered the Application Service Provider market in 2000, with the introduction of its Online Document Center, providing simple and efficient web-based document access and electronic workflow tools, making documents available anytime, anywhere.  As the client base grew, the company began establishing Scan One Capture Centers in strategic geographic locales around the United States.   From these Capture Centers and the Online Document Center, Scan One offers innovative web-based solutions focused on scanning, data capture and enhanced workflow methodologies for companies that have high-volume, data-intensive accounts payable and accounts receivable business processes.  Scan One offers business processing solutions that provide sophisticated production tasks at cost-effective prices, with no risk and no capital investment for clients.

Business Need

To stay at the forefront of the market, Scan One continually searches for faster and more efficient ways to enhance and accelerate business transaction processes.  While clients used to be satisfied with business turnaround times of 48 hours, they now regularly demand next-day turnaround or turnaround within hours.

BancTec’s Solution

BancTec performed a detailed review of Scan One’s expanding document scanning, capture and imaging requirements. Scan One sought a solution that would speed up turnaround times on document scanning and imaging, provide cost-effective results that could be passed along to its customers and utilize leading-edge equipment and technologies that it could, in turn, sell to customers who desire to scan their own documents.

Based on its analysis, BancTec recommended a solution centered on its IntelliScan DS6000.

The Results

For Scan One, the DS6000 improved processing throughput, an essential requirement for the company. The DS6000 also provides improved scanning and processing of a variety of documents, lower maintenance fees, easy training and real cost-effective solutions for its clients.

In the Client’s Words

“We were interested in getting to that next level of speed. To be able to accomplish 15 million keystrokes a day and have the work reviewed and loaded for our customers, we had to be able not only to scan faster, but also scan continuously without interruptions. If interruptions do occur, recoveries are much faster and easier, which translates into improved productivity for us and our clients.”

“Training our employees on the DS6000 was simple. It took about three hours to learn versus three days on other scanners. The DS6000 gives us better economy of both scale and skill, and is an impressive piece of equipment to show our customers. When our clients view our investment in BancTec’s DS6000, they immediately see how we can provide faster and better results for their business.”
