IntelliScan XDS is available with configuration options that capture and output colour images ranging from 40 pages per minute (ppm) at a true 600 dpi optical resolution up to a speedy 550 ppm at 200 dpi. With a completely open track, the IntelliScan offers the least restrictive paper path in its class, simplifying document retrieval in the rare event of a paper jam.  The IntelliScan XDS also features the error recovery module, which increases document throughput by allowing quicker recovery from problems, minimises the number of documents to be re-fed and reduces the chances of missing or out-of-sequence documents.

Enhanced optics and illumination capabilities provide superior image quality for difficult documents and photographs. The IntelliScan XDS also offers real-time JPEG 2000 image output, which enables the retention of more image detail with a smaller file size. Other output formats are available, including JPEG and TIFF.

Our powerful, patented TurboTimeTM feature allows customers to react to both increases and decreases in processing volumes on a daily, or even hourly, basis. Using prepaid ‘smart’ TurboCards and a card reader, TurboTime can increase document throughput as needed. So organisations can cost-effectively plan for normal processing peaks and recover from unexpected volume changes caused by such events as late couriers, inclement weather or staff shortages. TurboTime allows for increased capacity only when needed, for as long as needed.

An additional, exclusive feature, TripleRead technology delivers unrivalled accuracy and the most precise, comprehensive document capture available — providing the same unique capabilities that give cheque processing clients a competitive edge. TripleRead combines the functionality of the MICR reader and image cameras, and advanced software to analyse and produce optimal MICR read rates. By reading and verifying the document MICR line multiple times, using both optical and magnetic technologies, it maximises performance and minimises misreads. In fact, performance results show that TripleRead rates as similar to BancTec’s industry-leading cheque transports.
