Designed for superior document speed and handling, the X-Series combines the performance and industrial-strength durability of a high-speed reader-sorter with the flexibility of a workstation — setting the gold standard for capture functionality. The X-Series handles multiple transaction and application types, as well as documents with folded corners, staples, tape, labels, strips and poor paper conditions. BancTec builds on this flexible architecture with adaptive features designed especially for branch and distributed capture, cheque truncation, cheque image exchange and Image Replacement Documents (IRDs).

Tested and proven after years of successful global implementation in cheque, remittance, encoding and grid applications, the X-Series leverages more than 35 years of BancTec’s deep engineering expertise combined with next-generation capture technology — including a robust document feeder, dynamic transport speed control, open document access in key areas, an advanced ribbon cartridge and capabilities that validate image quality. The X-Series also incorporates BancTec Next-Generation Image (NGI) technology in order to provide industry-leading image functionality for the electronic enterprise —  meaning that full bitonal, full greyscale, and multiple optimised snippet images can be simultaneously captured. The ability to select different settings on individual documents allows the easy capture of the most difficult-to-image documents.

What’s more, the transport’s unique in-line stripper option attaches an MICR bond-quality paper strip to the front of documents. By integrating advanced reading, stripping, encoding and imaging, the X-Series can complete up to 70 transports — all in a single operation.
